Area Law Enforcement
Around fifty vehicles have been marked with what seems to be human bodily fluid in the Germany's municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to police.
Automobiles, walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with swastikas, they stated in a official communication.
Police state they were notified late on Wednesday night, when a resident noticed that a vehicle in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.
The substance had been applied in the pattern of a banned symbol, they stated.
Law enforcement then found numerous other smeared vehicles and building exteriors in the surrounding area.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Officials say initial examinations suggest the liquid was most likely human bodily fluid.
"There is still no indication as to where it came from; officials are currently not aware of any injuries in connection with the incident," they commented.
City officials said they were trying "to resolve the case" and have asked to the residents for information.
An important official stated the vandalism made him stunned and needed to be resolved rapidly.
"This incident hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack in 2020," he stated on a platform, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on residents of immigrant origin in 2020.
